Historique :	Nous savons que la vente de cet instrument à un certain Hébert est faite en février 1833 ce qui implique une construction l'année précédente. Nous nous trouvons devant l'un des témoins les plus anciens de la facture de Pleyel. Conservé dans un état satisfaisant, la quasi totalité des éléments d'origine subsistent : garnitures, cordes, table en buis. On perçoit encore ici l'influence anglaise avec une mécanique à échappement simple, telle que nous la présente la gravure de Paul Montal en 1838. La période de sa fabrication présente un intérêt organologique et musical considérable si on le met en rapport avec le premier récital de Frédéric Chopin dans les salons Pleyel le 22 février 1832, récital, qui révélant les affinités musicales du facteur et du compositeur, assurait pour longtemps le prestige de la maison Pleyel.
