Historique :	Ce piano se montre à nous comme l'un des plus anciens témoins de cette facture qui connaît l'influence musicale de Liszt, parrain d'un petit Boisselot. Ce facteur a obtenu en 1844 une médaille d'or à l'Exposition Universelle. Il est sous-représenté dans les collections publiques sauf aux musées de Montpellier, de Nice et au château d'Assas. On peut trouver une explication à cette lacune dans les diverses mutations de son atelier à travers le pays. Le commerce de Boisselot, qui est aussi revendeur des productions de Erard, s'est généralement orienté vers l'ensemble des pays du bassin méditerranéen avec une notoriété bien établie à Marseille. Tous les éléments d'origine se trouvent en place dans ce piano. Etiquette : Boisselot et fils / Facteurs du Roi / Marseille avec la mention honorable de 1834 et du premier prix de 1835.
