Historique :	A la suite d'une délibération du 11 octobre 1901 (Arch. dep. HA, AC déposées, 426 E dépôt 19), la commune commanda une pompe à bras pour lutter contre les incendies à un établissement spécialisé de Besançon, la maison Batifoulier. Fondé au milieu du XIXe siècle, cet établissement était devenu célèbre pour son système perfectionné de pompe, pour lequel il avait reçu une médaille d'argent à l'exposition internationale de Paris en 1899. Livrée à la commune en 1902, ce matériel particulièrement soigné est aujourd'hui conservé au centre départemental de secours de Vesoul.
