Description :	La ribe ou broyeur hydraulique est composé d'une conche (cuve circulaire monolithique) dans laquelle tourne une meule tronconique). Sous un chevalet de chêne, un hérisson horizontal, également en chêne de 3 m de diamètre, à 114 dents en hêtre, avec un axe vertical taillé en facettes et deux meules en pierre de Gy (calcaire non poreux de couleur ocre jaune ou cuivre). La double rotation de la meule tronconique accroît considérablement l'effet de pression et permet d'obtenir des farines particulièrements fines ou d'écraser efficacement des oélagineux (noix, noisettes, etc.) (cf Langrognet, 2014)
