Historique :	Le retable de l'église Notre-Dame de Gray offert en 1702 par le président Jobelot, démonté illicitement en 1927, avait été remonté à la hâte après avoir subi de graves dégâts au cours de ces opérations dans la chapelle du lycée, désaffectée en fait depuis 1906 et servant de débarras à l'établissement. De nouveaux dégâts étant venus s'ajouter depuis 23 ans, une restauration s'avérait urgente. Après accord des diverses autorités locales et approbation par la Commission supérieure (11 janvier 1971) le transfert et la restauration dans l'église voisine de Gray-la-Ville ont été menés à bien.
